For those of you that prefer flip phones, we were happy to see the new BlackBerry Pearl Flip is well on its way! A couple weeks ago, the famous “butt dialing” commercials began here in the United States.
Now word comes that Bell (a Canadian cell phone service provider) has already released the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230. Their introductory deal lists the flip phone for $29.95 with a three year contract (only available until March 12, 2009). For additional information, click here or see the advertisement below:

Long before the BlackBerry Storm was released, it was dubbed the “iPhone killer” by many BlackBerry users. This was quite the high expectations for RIM to meet, but the SurePress technology has gone a long way towards what could eventually be a legitimate iPhone competitor.
It looks like RIM isn’t pulling any punches in the meantime, despite some lingering problems with the BlackBerry Storm. I just ran across a new advertisement where BlackBerry takes a shot at Apple….literally.
